Skills & training

The DigiGOV Academy

The aim of the DigiGOV Academy is to help build the necessary skills and knowledge regarding the evolving technological environment, develop an innovative culture and build trust, while acting as a “PM2 Hub” to provide methodological support in project management activities for the selected projects, expertise, coaching and project management skills development. Digital Transformation projects require an important agile approach. Agile sessions will facilitate the development of the agile mindset, organise agile teams and further develop the necessary skills.

DigiGov Lab will promote agility through Agile sessions, which are an integrative part of DigiGov Lab activities   DigiGOV Academy will support the set-up of a series of training activities oriented towards the enhancement of digital skills and digital capacities of the public sector/ SMEs’ workforce pertaining to the use, critical appraisal, and improvement of public services. The learning resources can take any form: best practices in novel product design, open code for specific platforms, plugins for specific platforms, discounts for prototyping or experimentation services, discounts for specific components, publications.
DigiGOV Academy supports the internal skills development of the actors of the Hub (key partners, associated partners, and selected organisations). In this case training focuses on supporting the activities of the Hub and ensures necessary skills development of the members of working groups

An important activity of the Hub is to raise awareness among stakeholders and provide orientation and guidance for the members of the innovation ecosystem pertaining to the value of digital public services for citizens, organisations, and society. The organisation of TechDays and specialised skill-development webinars/seminars will offer opportunities to present best uses of advanced and emerging technologies in the public sector.

The organisation of an annual bootcamp will serve the need to further develop technical skills. The bootcamp will concentrate on the development of innovative digital public services based on specific challenges that showcase the capabilities of emerging ICTs (e.g. AI, blockchain, IoT, 5G, etc.) in various application areas.

To serve professionalisation of digital transformation stakeholders, the project includes the gradual development of a MiniMBA programme on digital government and public services.

DigiGov Academy will work in close collaboration with the National Digital Academy, established in 2020, which will provide the infrastructure for asynchronous online training delivery. Many of the founding members of the Hub are members of the Greek National Coalition for Digital Skills and Jobs.
