Next to the yearly SEMIC Conference, the SEMIC team has scheduled two webinars in October. Do not forget to mark those dates in your calendar!

Firstly, on 4 October 2023, the webinar dedicated to the introduction of DCAT-AP for data spaces will take place from 14:00 to 16:00 CEST. During the webinar, we will present a comprehensive overview of the data landscape and the domain-specific data spaces. Following this, we will delve into the potential challenges and intricacies to make data flow smoothly within and across these data spaces. Next, we will show some real life experiences from different data spaces, showcasing how DCAT-AP already provides a solution to accommodate the necessary use cases and aid in solving the challenges data spaces implementers are facing. More information can be found on this specific event page in the SEMIC Support Centre.

Further, we are delighted to invite you to the first webinar of the new working year in our series dedicated to the review of the Core Vocabularies which will take place on 27 October 2023, from 13:00 to 15:00 CEST. Core Vocabularies are simplified, reusable and extensible data models that capture the fundamental characteristics of an entity in a context-neutral fashion. SEMIC supported international working groups to forge consensus on the following Core Vocabularies: Business, Location, Person, Public Service, Criterion & Evidence, Public Organisation, Assessment, Public Event, and Standards and Specifications. In this specific webinar we want to report on the ongoing maintenance and use the webinar as a touch-point with the SEMIC community. More information will be provided on this specific event page in the SEMIC Support Centre closer to the event date, so keep an eye out for it!
