Version 1.19.0 of the Interoperability Test Bed software, based on the GITB CWA specifications, is now released.

This release focuses on providing further flexibility in managing a community’s overall testing setup and the versioning of test cases. Notable changes include the possibility to define additional levels of specifications, and test suites that are shared across specifications whose test sessions count towards all relevant conformance statements. These extensions are complemented by a new streamlined process of creating new conformance statements. In terms of version management, test suite uploads now afford fine-grained control over the testing history and metadata of individual test cases. In addition, the metadata linked to executed test sessions becomes a snapshot representing their context at execution time. Finally, it is now also possible to upload community-specific resources such as images, that may be referenced in the community’s documentation and landing pages.

Alongside these changes, minor improvements were also made to the GITB Test Description Language, focusing on additional means of working with data collections. In addition, new variants of the “gitb-types” library were published catering for different API versions making it simpler to maintain and evolve test extension services.

This new version is online in the Interoperability Test Bed service hosted by DIGIT but is also available for you to setup as a standalone instance.
